We were super lucky in finding Upscale interiors. Ewelina was our designer and the care she took during the entire project was what we were looking for precisely. She took her time to understand us as persons, our style, preferences and the designs we have had in mind.

Working with people from UPSCALE was so outgoing and fun. The thing that attracted me most at the first place was their online-first approach. Despite online communication, the approach is extremely personal. They completely understand the needs and ideas when it comes to interior design. Often one could not decide about details for room or entire apartment decoration.
I found Carina to be wonderful to work with. Firstly, she really knows her stuff and her advice is very sound. She works with high-end products and material, which produce a lush interior. She also listens when you have an idea and she respected my taste completely. When we went wrong on two occasions, she just took the items away which I found very customer-centric.

We do advise clients to go through our style quiz, so we can get a sense of your likes and dislikes in the design world. Don’t worry — nothing is "final." You will also have a chance to elaborate on your style, vision and needs in the comprehensive briefing call with your designer.
We always encourage you to pick a few inspirational images for the areas you seek advice for prior to our meeting. It can be anything - from magazines, to Pinterest - that helps your designer to visualize what ambience you like, what type of furniture you are gravitating towards, etc. That said, if you feel lost or not sure what you like - do not worry, we are here to help. We can help you with your concept from A to Z, if desired.
Our designers will review and use all the information you've discussed during the initial briefing call and your Style Quiz results. Design process is a collaborative process, hence you’ll also be highly encouraged to upload inspirational pictures into your personal Upscale project folder, to help our designers understand your vision for the space.
If you have a specific designer request tell us and we’ll try to make it happen. Otherwise leave it up to us to find your perfect match. We’ve already spent a lot of time getting to know each designer’s style and skills to make sure you get the best designer based on your specific requirements.
In open-space floor plans, we design areas by purpose. In this example, it would be the living area (1), dining area (2) and home office (3). We would recommend 3 single area package.
Here are some top tips on how to get the most out of your collaboration with your designer:
Give open and honest feedback. Our designers are amazing, but they aren’t mind readers. When you like, or dislike something, make sure to explain why, or which specific aspects of design you like or dislike. In these first couple of days, you and your designer will brainstorm and agree on the design direction. If you are not 100% on board with the final design concept, simply say it. Otherwise you would end up with a design that may not be what you were looking for.
Be mindful of the timeline. Upscale projects have a defined timeline, make sure to give your designer timely input and feedback to avoid running out of time.
You can give your designer as much feedback or as little feedback as you’d like – it’s completely up to you how involved you’d like to be within the design process. We built Upscale so that all of us, even people who don’t have strong opinions on cushion or sofa fabrics, or materials, can live in the most beautiful space. After you pay the design fee and officially launch the project with your designer, we ask that you give us 2-3 business days to provide you with your initial moodboard. This will give you a sense of the overall design. Then we will deliver your first design concepts within another 2-4 business days. Please keep in mind, every project is different and time frames may vary. Your feedback is highly welcomed and even encouraged to make sure you are aligned with your designer. If changes are needed to the design concept, you will be delivered a revision within 3 business days of providing feedback. Once you and your designer are fully aligned on the concept and ready to move forward, your final layout will take 2-3 business days. After that, it’s time to place the orders for your furniture to bring your vision to life!
Get matched. Give us a couple of business days to match you with your perfect designer. They'll review your brief and schedule a kick off (video) call to discuss design concepts and colour schemes - the foundation of your final design.
From concept to final design. Your designer will source all the furniture and accessories you need to transform your space, as well as recommending a layout.
Furniture shopping made easy. Now that you have your final design, layout and curated shopping list, you can purchase all your items through Upscale and have them delivered in one convenient delivery, straight to your new home.
A part of describing your project includes uploading floorplans, photos or a video of what your space currently looks like in your Personal Folder we create for you. On top of that, your designer will suggest a (video) call with you at the start of your project during which you can describe your space in more detail or even give your designer a virtual tour.
We can absolutely incorporate your existing furniture into your design! We will create a Personal Folder for you, where you will be able to upload photos and dimensions of the items you plan to keep. This will help your designer create a cohesive design, taking this furniture into account throughout the design process.
We source items from a spectrum of well known suppliers, unique trade-only vendors and wholesale sources that we have partnerships with. Designers can suggest art for your walls, accessories for your shelves or flooring, plants and anything that makes your space complete.
